Over 150 Pregnant Workers Have Shared Their Stories
Amazon Endangers
Pregnant Workers
Former Pregnant Amazon Workers told us:
“During my pregnancy I was threatened with fewer shifts for not keeping up with 350+ deliveries and forced to skip lunch. After coming back, I’d often have to pump and dump my breast milk in the van with no stops during my 10 hour shift.”
“Amazon delayed my accommodations during two of my pregnancies. The second time I saw a cardiologist and had to quit to protect my baby from their neglect.”
“I am currently 8 months pregnant. I have detailed accommodation requests from my doctor. Every week, Amazon asks for more and more information instead of approving them.”

ALU Member, Hayat, Denied Safe Work While Pregnant at Amazon
Hayat, a Libyan immigrant, mother of four, and Amazon union leader, miscarried in 2024 after being denied pregnancy accommodations during grueling Prime Day shifts. Despite this, she returned to work, led organizing efforts, and became a union steward. Now eight months pregnant again, her approved light-duty role wasn't respected, forcing her onto unpaid leave. Her husband, also injured on the job, is on workers comp. With no income, they face eviction. Their baby is due in weeks. They urgently need support.
